Greenhouse gas observation technology the satellite successor (GOSAT-2) project is promoted jointly by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) * , the National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES) * and the Ministry of the Environment (MOE) * . In April 2013, the National Institute for Environmental Studies organized a research team dedicated to the GOSAT-2 Product Archive within its organization and is conducting R & D on GOSAT-2. ※ Link is external website, it opens in a separate window.
About Data Usage User Classification
The data categories in using the Services are listed below. It is necessary to register for a user account of the Services either as a General User or an Authorized User in order to download GOSAT-2 products. Registration to "General Users" can be done by the users themselves on the Web. On the other hand, registration to "Authorized User" is performed via the operator.
| Guest Users | : | A user who has not registered for an account. A Guest can browse GOSAT-2 product images and search for public information, however, cannot order and obtain products. |
| General Users | : | A user who has completed the user registration. A General User can browse GOSAT-2 product images and also order to download and obtain products. |
| Authorized Users | : | A user who is authorized by GOSAT-2 Project as a Science Team member, an Algorithm Provider or a RA researcher. The range of services and products available depends on the user; however, an Authorized User can obtain standard products prior to the official release, and research products. Regarding the application for observation requests, some of the Authorized Users can apply for it. In addition, among RA researchers, the Principal Investigator (PI) of the research subject can apply for an observation request. * Co-Investigators (Co-Is) cannot apply for observation requests. |
